Emma is a self-taught, contemporary artist based in Northern California. Her creative practice spans many skillsets and interests, including drawing, watercolor, fiber arts, and paper crafts, but her true love is oil painting.

Blending traditional techniques with vibrant color and unique textures, her work carries a constant theme of harmonious opposites. The paintings are inspired by childhood memories, an intense love of all things colorful, and a desire to depict the world through the eyes of nature.

Many of her pieces explore complex emotions associated with grief, abandonment, and loneliness, although recently she has been focusing more on the peaceful and positive.

She enjoys a quiet life with her husband, Great Dane, and several reptiles.
