The 2022 addition to Emma’s collection of works, “QUEEN” stands out with its vibrant colors and extreme contrast.

A number of acrylic and alcohol-based mediums were used to build up layers of texture, giving the piece a 3D effect. The use of dots and thick black lines create a comic book feel, a juxtaposition of the dark glare that radiates from the figure’s face.

If any assumptions are to be made about QUEEN, it’s that she is the second edition of the 2020 work, “KING.”
