ACID!

Mixed Media on Stretched Cotton Canvas, 24” x 32”

If a single piece is the face of Emma’s collection, it’s “ACID!”

Vibrant colors, playful, comic book imagery, and her signature greyscale portraiture fixed onto abstract blue paint drips display the soul within each of Emma’s works.

Emma created the piece in 2018, taking inspiration from Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali. Always a fan of wordplay, Emma often incorporates a single, boldfaced word into her pieces. “The words themselves may not be provocative, but the intentions are. It’s supposed to do ‘something’ to you.”

Some may look at a word like “acid” and be hit with a wave of nostalgia, others may feel uncomfortable or confused. For Emma, any and all responses mean the piece does its job.
